Balloon head soars over campus
We have been studying dinosaurs and focusing on Supersaurus, the largest sauropod (long neck) found to date. The children are awed by the size of the bones on display in the classroom, a rib, a tibia and a vertebra. They have measured Supersaurus' length from Silver Door to Yellow Door, and were dazzled by its height, as evidenced by a magnificent bouquet of helium balloons raised up in the air at the end of a 50 foot string. Supersaurus' airhead towered above the playground's tall star pine trees and could be seen from the street! These animals were the stuff of legends.
