• Know singular and plural forms of nouns
• Know masculine and feminine forms of common nouns
• Know the number of syllables in a word and be able to identify compound words
• Read chapter books and answer factual questions about what was read
• Mastered printing and can write cursive capitals and lower case letters fluently
• Spell words with short sounds, long vowel sounds
• Compose sentences
• Write a paragraph with a topic sentence, detail sentences and concluding sentence

• Identify place value to millions
• Add and subtract 4 digit numbers
• Know multiplication and division facts
• Identify common fractions and mixed numbers
• Add and subtract fractions with like denominators
• Know metric measurements in length, weight and volume
• Use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
