E-mail Print PDF
  • There may be times during the school year when your child may need to be excluded from school. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep him or her at home.
  • Please contact the office by 9 am if your child will be absent on any given day.
  • You are required to notify the school immediately if your child has or contracts a communicable disease such as chicken-pox, coxsackie, HIV, impetigo, or head lice, etc. Your child may not return to the school without permission from your physician and clearance from the MCS office.
  • Determination of a child's ill health will be based upon the following standards: sore throat, cough, earache, sneezing and runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fever (above 100), etc. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms please do not return him or her to school within a 24 hour period without consulting with your pediatrician. If your child becomes ill at school, you will be notified to pick him or her up.
  • Medications must be stored in the office, where parents are required to sign an authorization form. State regulations require that medication be in its original container.
