Annual Giving

Annual Giving (AG) provides MCS families, grandparents, alumni and the community an opportunity to support the school's mission. Donations help fund operating expenses, financial aid, educational enrichment as well as our continuing effort to improve our grounds.

Not only are successful AG campaigns measurable proof of your support of our programs, high levels of participation may favorably influence foundations and granting organizations.

Your AG donation:

  • is fully tax deductible
  • can be a stock transfer
  • can be put on your credit card
  • can be included on your tuition statement

Register your Supermarket Cards

It is completely safe, easy and free with complete privacy and no spam. Sign up with Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs and every time you shop, MCS will get a percentage of every dollar you spend. It costs you nothing but adds up for MCS. To register go to:

Adopt-A-Barrel

You can adopt a barrel on the MCS campus and support the Art Program. Your barrel and plants will be tended for throughout the school year. It will also be personalized with your name with a hand-made ceramic tile.

Birthday Book Club

Continue or start a new tradition in your family . . . Teach your children to give a gift to the MCS library for their birthday or in honor of someone they love with a book to be enjoyed by all.

Book Fair

This great event, sponsored by the Montessori Parent Organization, raises funds for our library as well as community spirit. Buy a book or two and Barnes and Noble will donate 20% back to MCS.

Business Boosters

There are a number of businesses who will donate back to MCS when you patronize them. Check this year's MCS directory for Booster listings and make sure to mention you are an MCS parent and we will all benefit. If you would like to become a Business Booster please contact the Development Office.

Jog-a-thon

Moved to the spring for the 2008-2009 school year, the MCS' Jogathon is a fun and healthy event for the whole family. MCS students, faculty, staff and parents get sponsorship to run laps in support of our physical education and playground funds.

Scrip Sales

We sell many wonderful gift certificates for you to use when you shop or when you need a gift. We have cards for Lazy Acres, Gelsons, China Pavilion, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Starbucks and many more. Each time you purchase a card the businesses will give 9-25% back to MCS.

Recycle Program

Bring your old/used inkjet cartridges, toner and cell phones to the Development Office to be recycled. MCS gets money for each item and you help the environment!

Wish Lists and In-Kind Gifts

Every classroom has needs. Ask your child's teacher how to contribute new or used items or even your service. Be sure to notify the Development Office if you need a receipt.
